West Coast Surfschool was founded in 2005 by Nuno, with the goal of sharing the passion for surfing with as many people as possible. Over the years, the school has grown, with many instructors and many satisfied students!
How we work
Beyond fun, improvement, and shared passion, it's essential to create safe lessons for all students. Therefore, these are some of the main factors we prioritize in our lessons to guarantee fun and safety:
According to the law, the maximum number of students per instructor is 7. We personalize our lessons, teaching only 5 students per instructor. This allows us to offer the best instruction and personalized tips.
If you sign up for our lessons, we will go together from our surf school in the city center to the surf spot. Boards, wetsuits, and shoes are provided by us.
After a warm-up, explanations about water conditions, techniques, and some practice on the sand, we're ready to begin!
Surf lessons for different levels
We surf at various surf spots in the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve.
Fórum Oceano is the managing entity of the Portuguese Sea Cluster, certified and recognised by the Ministry of Economy and Sea, Ministry of National Defence, and Ministry of Planning and Infrastructure.
