Surf Milfontes

SurfMilfontes began as a project aimed at young people in the region, founded in 2003, and was structured as a surf club. It is the first surf school in Vila Nova de Milfontes and one of the oldest in the Southwest Alentejo region, standing out mainly for having introduced a sport that was practically non-existent at the time. With the exponential growth of tourism in the region, SurfMilfontes has become a tourist entertainment company (RNAAT 230/2016), dedicated to teaching surfing and bodyboarding. Furthermore, every year it seeks to involve the local community in environmental awareness initiatives through, for example, beach cleanups, and to spark the interest of young people in the region in a sport that highlights not only the potential of the place where they live, but also fosters new friendships and encourages the sharing of knowledge and experiences.
