Portimão Surf Clube

We are a non-profit association founded in 2014 with 56 founding members, an initiative of multi-champion surfer Francisco Canelas and Dr. Jorge Mimoso, with the aim of developing the sports, social and cultural aspects of SURFING, SKATEBOARDING, BODYBOARDING and SUP in the Algarve. The club has evolved successfully, gathering more than 500 members and training more than 1,000 students in its first 5 years. We are located on the beach of Praia da Rocha, Portimão, very close to the sea and the river, right next to the breakwater within the beach's sports area. Our facilities include storage, men's and women's changing rooms and a large deck perfect for enjoying the sun. The club's office is located in the Santa Catarina fortress on the Portimão Marina road and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. The club is responsible for organizing and co-organizing, along with other entities, some of the most important surf, skate, and bodyboard events in the Algarve, such as official championships, local gatherings, nature conservation initiatives, etc. We also offer Stand Up Paddle tours with an experienced instructor who guides us to the best spots, caves, and passages through rock arches, with stops at unique beaches where we practice yoga, all in complete communion with nature.
