Alquevatours is a family-run maritime tourism project, created and developed by Humberto Nixon, a geographer and advocate for Alqueva since 1980, who has always closely followed the evolution of this immense project with its multiple purposes.

The immensity of the lake, the fauna, the flora, the history of the people and places, all yet to be revealed, and the proximity to the charming city of Moura, made you believe!!!

In 2008, next to the dam (the "seal"), he launched the first boat and began the adventure in a region where tourism was almost non-existent. Today, the passion is even more intense and is shared by the entire team.

Daily discovery and exploration of a lake with 1160 km of shoreline, supported by the Guadiana River and its tributaries, is the inexhaustible source of inspiration for Alquevatours.
